"European wild cat"

Identification:The kaffir cat has long legs and a medium brown coat with black stripes.

Reproduction:Females build their dens in caves, hollow trees, or fox holes. There, they give birth to 3-6 cubs after gestating for 68 days. At five months of age, the cubs leave their mother.
Like most wild cats, kaffir cats lead solitary lives.
Behavior:Hunting is done at night and usually on the ground.
